Your budget
Amounts, descriptions, categories, goals, preferences and recovery copies stay in your device’s browser or installed PWA. They are not uploaded to the operator’s database. No online account is required; your chosen name is a local alias. Local storage encrypts the budget, but access to an unlocked device or session may allow someone to read it. This does not guarantee device security.
Connections and providers
Cloudflare delivers the domain, HTTPS and application files. Network connections can process IP addresses, timestamps, requested URLs and browser/device metadata for delivery and security. This version includes no advertising, marketing analytics, tracking pixels or automatic financial reports. The budget archive is not included in application network requests. Information pages use no marketing cookies.
Purposes, legal bases and retention
Requested service and support: contract or requested pre-contractual steps (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). Security and abuse prevention: legitimate interests (6(1)(f)); applicable legal obligations: 6(1)(c). Local data stays until you or the browser deletes it; up to ten local recovery copies follow your settings. Hosting does not store your budget. Infrastructure metadata follows Cloudflare settings and policies. Support requests are deleted within 90 days after closure unless needed for legal obligations or disputes; minimal evidence of rights handling may be kept for 12 months.
Backups and your cloud
Download or share a backup and optionally protect it with a password. Without one, anyone holding the file can read it. Saving to Drive, OneDrive, iCloud or another provider is under your control and its terms; WalletLane receives no credentials. Reminders are checked while the app is open and do not upload backups automatically.
Rights and international processing
Export or delete local data in settings. For data handled by the operator, contact us for access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability where applicable. We respond within GDPR deadlines, normally one month. You may complain to the Italian data protection authority or another competent authority. Cloudflare may involve international processing under its DPA and applicable safeguards, including standard contractual clauses where required. We do not promise that every metadata item stays in the EU. We do not make automated decisions with legal effects based on your budget.
